HOMELESSNESS
The Unification Party of America understands that there is an epidemic of homelessness throughout the nation. With so many underlying causes of homelessness we must come up with a universal way to end this pandemic forever. Currently it is costing American taxpayers millions of dollars each year for the many indirect and direct factors attributed to homelessness. Some of these factors include.
Health Care
Crime Prevention
Basic Necessities
Carceration
Funeral Costs
Temporary Shelters
Psychological Affliction
Drug Addiction
Re-Education
Physical & Emotional Abuse
Dependency
The Unification Party of The United States would like to set up at the State and Federal level a 2% homelessness income tax refund option to solve the homelessness crisis forever. Every year when taxes are due a by State mandatory or non-mandatory option could be given to taxpayers to supplement their tax refund by 2% to be given to state run 'Recovery Centers' throughout their State that would never close. Recovery centers would provide clean beds, showers, clothes, and rehabilitate the homeless, not to be treated as a pandemic but to be treated as a second chance on life. This would minimize the astronomical costs homelessness is currently costing the nation and maximize the logistics on getting the proper care and necessities needed to reclaim their dignity and once again contribute to society.
